YNTM Episode 5: Walking Tall

Previously on YNTM:

The girls get their makeovers, some of them were happy and some of them were not !
at their scary photoshoot inspired by classic monsters and haunts, most of them flops!
but in the end Annesya was eliminated. Who will be eliminated tonite?

Last week, Atan promised to Patsy that he will changed back Patsy from Ice Queen to her normal hair color.

Patsy:  Atan said that my color doesn't compliment my personality, but I don't want that to be an excuse for the judges to send me home.

Sabatini reminisce her moment in the bottom two with her friend, Julianne.

Sabatini:  Since the casting, me and Julianne had been the closest compare to the other girls...
Yeah if only you communicate with the others *sigh*...

Then, Julianne confess to Sabatini that she is giving up, though she have one best photo, she didn't think the judges see potential in her as she is called almost last in every judging.

The other girls were unhappy when they saw Jane's photo as a digital art in the house, they thought she was fake.

Marly: She hates her makeover but in front of the judges she was like loving her makeover.

Tatang: She was annoying...

Jane: I don't care if the other girls hate me, I know I'm their competition.. I'm trying to stay away from drama

Back at the house the girl recieved yet another puzzling ATAN MAIL which states:

"dance on the stage - tights not required"

short and incomplete yet confusing, just like an haiku.

The girls guessing another dance challenge which makes Julianne heart gets high in excitement, we all know how she did in the previous dance photo shoot... yeah we remember that...

yeah we also remember her last week photoshoot where she portrays an assasin

Meanwhile, as promised Patsy was taken to the salon so she can get her makeover...

back to black !!!

Then, the girls were brought to a dance studio, where they meet Mr Carl, their runway coach extraordinaire which until now his face is still not revealed...

the girls then learned that they were wrong about the Atan Mail, as supposed to dancing they will be having they walking 101 today. Why state 'dance' in the mail,

3 Reasons Why The Atan Mail relate dancing to walking

*they have to capture the gracefulness of a dancer*

*they have to have good dancer posture*

*they have to wear out-of-this-world 6 inch ballet shoes stilettos*

and to add something to the training session, Mr Carl invited last season's runner up aka Kristin-The-Walker/Dancer

Claimed by Mr Carl himself as the best walker, Kristin shows the girls how to walk in the killer stilletos. In case you're curious on how these stiletto can kills here's something to provoke your mind...

 Ok... then the girls were asked to walk... Lora was praised for her elegance but were asked to speed up her pace a bit, Then Sheilla fell down five times...

OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!

the rest of the girls did their best but recieved a warning from Mr Carl that they should practice cause everyone knows practice makes perfect...

PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!

The next day the girls were taken to a runway show by one of the famous t-shirt designer, Ezou Ezral... they have to wear his new design and were required to dance to the tune of Mozart No. 40

Lora as usual do well.
Mimi was a bit confused looking but remain pretty...
Sheilla despite of her injury remain fierce!
Patsy's walk like she should even with her now damaged (you're not supposed to bleach and dye back your hair in the same week) hair.
Sabatini's robotic

Jane... boring... nice hair tho
Tatang walk too fast and she forgot to dance
Julianne's walk is lack of energy

Then the girl were told that the runway show is a challenge and the winner will get a chance to be in photoshoot of Seven Teen magazine.

Lora was announced the winner and pick Marly and Patsy to accompany her.

Suddenly, Sheilla felt pain in her legs then she was rushed by paramedics to the hospital. She was told that she have minor injury in her legs after she fall on the training session.

Then the girl recieved an Atan Mail about their next photoshoot.

the girls will be shooting a photo for a shoes ad... they will be put on a huge swings.

Sheilla was unable to go to the shoot as she's still hospitalised, someone's in jeopardy...

Julianne was totally uninspired by the photo shoot it shows in her picture. Ms Wan gives her motivation but her attempt fail when Julianne's burst into tears telling her that she feels like giving up...

Tatang is not complaining, surprising! She managed to channel her fierceness.

Patsy was told by Ms Wan that her photo will look better if she was blonde... which causes her to frown...

Mimi looked gorgeous though she struggles with her swings.

Jane though is 'blah' in pohotoshoot her pictures always turned up gorgeous.

Lora need to elongate her body.

Marly looked a little confused which works for her shoot.

Back at the house, Sabatini was listening to Julianne's thought.

Sabatini: You have to be strong...

Julianne: I don't know if I can handle this anymore, I want to be here but my performance just not as good as I expected...

Sabatini: You're still here and that means the judges believe in you.

Julianne: [wiping tears and leave]

SOB...SOB..SOB...SOB...

Judging

A mini challenge for the girls, where they have to walk for Atan, Sheilla was excused for her injury and she was told she will be judged base on her overall performance because she's not having her photoshoot.

Jane was told to have some personality and not depending on her looks all the time. Wait a minute when is the time you see a model have personality except for Naomi Campbell.

Lora's voted as the best walker but need to stepped up the game with a good photo.

Julianne photo is interesting but not the best in the bunch.

Patsy's extra makeover doesn't do anything to her photo.

Mimi was questioned by the judge whether she really wants to be YNTM.

Elimination

Lora was called first for her good performance for the week

Bottom Two

Sheilla nearly end up in the bottom but her past performance saves her and she was told that her injury won't be an excuse

Patsy's makeover doesn't gain her anything and her photo fell flat

the judges thought that Julianne's giving up... it shows everywhere...

so whoe goes home?  home?home?

Eliminated

Julianne was send home...

Atan gives Patsy her photo and asked Julianne; "feeling like you giving up a bit?"

Julianne nodded and cried..." Thank you, Atan, thank you guys". She leaves the competition...

" I just feel like I'm not doing this anymore but at the same time I want to show them that I have something to contribute, but I guess i'm not gonna do that anymore... I hope Sabatini will go far...", Julianne in her exit interview.

Do you think Julianne deserve to go?

C. Sheill is the weakest of the week, she should get the boot...

guilty pleasures... my favorite facebook apps

facebook is the most popular social site today, one of its attraction is the applications. for me, i can totally say that i am addicted to facebook bcause of the apps and i spend like 6 hours a day using the apps alone. GOSH! that's a lot of time !

6 hours a day
6 X 7 days = 42 hours a week 
42 X 7 weeks = 294 hours a month
294 X 12 = 3528 hours a year

That's like 147 days a year, I spend almost half of my life in a year on facebook !!!

OK so FYI I do have life but facebook-ing is like an addiction, k... i just need some help...

it's been a man's dream (or at least my dream) to go to a sorority and meet all those hawt chicks, sorority life give me that kinda chance to explore the life of a sorority girls, now i know all they do is 'socialize', 'fight', 'glam' themselves, and the house mom gives 'em brownie points everytime they did a good job...

this is the game for those who don't get to play Guitar Hero on their game console - like myself. get groupies and travel the world - it gets better and better...

a game for farmer wannabes... there's a lot of farming game in facebook, but barn buddy cut the hassle for you, the plant will never rot (did your hear that Farmville? rotting veggies sucks!) , no need to refill the water can (Country Story eat your heart out !) and you can get a dog to watch your farm (Farm Town anyone?). I even do some campaigning to get 10 friends so I can get the dog for free, i named the dog Balang as a tribute to my dad's dog...

if The Godfather is your favorite movie, this apps will too... from New York to Cuba to Russia to Bangkok. I don't know why I like this app so much, it's just satisfying to see myself killing people as i leveled up...

with over a million players one couldn't defy that this game is the best, one person even describe that PSA Syndrome exists - PSA stands for Pet Society Addiction, people actually skips work to play this game !!!

one less lonely girl, one more brokenhearted boy

yeah it's official, patsy is no longer a single lady, she's found someone...

as stated in her facebook relationship status, she's now is in a relationship with a guy known as denie. well, we have to interview this couple later and we should give them pet names like "Densy" or 'Panie'.

Anyway we're wishing both of them a 'happy together' days.

sheilla is injured

earlier this week sheilla was injured while doing her assignment.

according to the witness, sheilla was trying to get a specimen for her upcoming assignment and unfortunately she fell and injured.

she was rushed to the nearest hospital. right now she's still recovering and hopefully will be better soon.

from smelling food to smelling fragrance; new olfactorian is in campus

campus blogger, ezral might as well could help paris with her new line...

recently blogging about places to eat, ezral has given his blog a twist by giving us a visual sniff of his perfume/cologne collection.

in his recent and latest post (by the time this blog is posted) he reviewed about perfume which includes Polo Sport, DKNY Be Delicious, and some Armani.

and hey guys, I'm not the only one wishing for a bottle of fragrance this year, Ezral also mentioned about wanting 'Only The Brave by Diesel'. I'm not a fan of Diesel but I do own few Diesel's boxer. So you know what to give him for his birthday gift next year.

so what's next for this cheerful blogger (just look at the pic :-) ), who knew he might just design his own fragrance.

hair gossip #2: faz: agnes inspirasi gwe...

siapa yang nggak kenal agnes monica... tarian n nyanyiannya bagus banget...

agnes was also known for her radical changes of hairstyles, no wonder she inspired one of my friend's [faz] hairstyles, look at the resemblance...
aduh, gwe pun pusing karena kedua2nya hampir sama dong!

sheilla is one of the best example of person who changed hairstyle like in every season.

last semester she debuted her surfer girl (kinda...) wavy hair. this semester she went straight all the way and cut it to shoulder length.

YNTM Episode 4: Stomp The Graveyard

Previously on YNTM: On last time's kinda boring episode of YNTM, the girls meet the people from Yey's Modeling Agency. At the photoshoot, the girls dance. Though a dancer, Melissa was unable to find her gracefulness and she was eliminated. 10 girls remained who will be eliminated next !

Julianne was so happy that she got called out first. Meanwhile, Marley got confused she was in the bottom two when someone else's should be there.

Back in the house, Marly and Lora were reminiscing the previous judging.

[Marley whispering] "seriously i think i'm not supposed to be in the bottom two."

[Lora whispering, kinda...] "yup me too, Tatang was not even training with us on the dancefloor and I think she just made up the fact that she sprained her ankle...."

unfortunately, whispering won't stop Annesya from spreading the news to the other girls. Tatang was furious when she heard it.

"I just don't like people talking at my back, just confront me!", Tatang.

It's time for catfight !!! MEOWW!!!!
Tatang defended herself by saying that her injury was real. Marley and Lora claimed that they never talk about her.
Then, Tatang gave them a warning eyes...

Then, they recieved an ATAN MAIL and Jane read it, "Think you've had enough, time for the next cut!"

Cut? does it mean another outside panel elimination, no, no, no this time the girls figured out the ATAN MAIL for the first time, ok girls in sync, said it out loud 1,2,3...

MAKEOVERS !!!

the girls were brought to a salon, where they were greeted by Atan's little minions Ms Wan and Mr Carl. the girls were surprised by Atan who announced that he won't tell what's gonna happened to the girls hair before he disappeared.

Here's what gonna happened to them:

• Jane - iced to the max, platinum blonde
• Sheilla - add volume to her hair, wavy-wavy one
• Tatang - added length and layered
• Sabatini - straight ala Naomi Campbell
• Julianne - big blonde lion mane
• Annesya - big wavy hair
• Mimi - added bangs
• Marley - wavy 
• Patsy - bleach to the blonde
• Lora - bob short ala Rihanna

Patsy and Jane were crying in pain due to the peroxide, Jane hates her blonde look very much while Patsy thought she looked like albino rabbit. "my niece will laughed when she sees me", she told.

the final result looked like this.

WARNING: some models' look might caused injury to the eyes, precaution should be taken.

Then it's time for ATAN MAIL again, which states " I see dead models",

First mail talk about cut, and now it's talking bout dead, I sense someone's watching too many horror movies.
The next day, the girls were taken to a studio where Ms Wan greeted them with melancholy in her voice. They will be shoot as ghosts and spooks. This episode of YNTM is also known as YNTM Halloween Special.

Annesya portrays the Bride of Frankenstein, where she have to channel Tim Burton.

Sheilla is a zombie, she nearly collapse cause of the bloody set but manage to finish her shoot before collapsing.

Tatang plays a she-wolf, which is an advantage for her...

she got the eye ...

Lora is playing evil pixies... Ms Wan warned her not to think like 'Tinkerbell'.

Patsy's set involved water, where she was a Siren. She was feeling uncomfortable, her scalp is so itchy...

Marley who portrays Ghost Pirate promised to Ms Wan that she'll give 200% for the shoot only to be given thumbs down by her.

Jane plays Firestarter, she was kinda lost cause the photographer wants her to be sexy but Ms Wan wants her to looked scary, she end up crying in confusion.

Julianne plays an assasin, she pulled it off just nice.

Mimi played a possesed girl, which remind me of Jennifer's Body.

Sabatini was told to put her glasses on which kinda pissed her off.

"I'm not disabled or something like that, I'm just mad when they told me not to take off my glasses",

When Ms Wan told her she look mad in her film, she admit that she was frustrated.

After the photoshoot, Sabatini told them about what happened at the photoshoot. Everyone disagree with her decision to argue with Ms Wan.

"This is the person who will decide whether you're going to be a winner or not, you shouldn't mess with them." said Sheilla.

Patsy called her mom and told her that she was worried about her photoshoot and she hates her makeover.

Judging

At the judging most of the girls were criticized for not embracing their looks and it shows in their photo.

Annesya's attire to the judging since day one is commented, she need to dress like a model and her photo is a major blah from week to week.

Patsy told the judge that her look is bringing her down instead of elevating her and Atan gave her a choice to dye it back to black if she survives the elimination.

"I was hoping that blonde hair will bring out your complexion but I can see how miserable you look now, we'll  fix it if you're still in the competition next week".

Sabatini was criticized for her attitude at the photoshoot and most of her photo shows how mad she was at that time.

Jane looked stunning with blonde hair and she take stunning photos. She just need to give more personality.

Marley was again commented by the judges, "You're almost there but still not quite got it."

Elimination

The judges think that Jane embraces her new look and her photo is the most stunning in the bunch and she was called out first.

Bottom Two:

Sabatini's attitude is her problem, she needs to listen...

Annesya's second time in the bottom for the same reason, bad photo.

Eliminated:

The judges decided that Sabatini is sabotaging herself with her attitude, Annesya was given her last chance and with that Annesya was send home.

"I leave everything when I enter the competition and what's the point of being here if  i'm not gonna win. I hate this," said Annesya in her exit interview.

my wishlist this christmas is a bottle of ck free

this christmas, i really want myself a bottle of ck free, not sure how it's gonna smell like but definitely smell light, fresh and crisp [they featured grass in the ck free print ad]

anyone watching this if you're not sure what you gonna put in my Christmas stockings, now you know it.

YNTM Episode 3: Just Dance

Previously on YNTM: The girls were interviewed by the press, Marcela, Annesya and Sheilla cause a scene at the PC. Then, the girls shoot in a nature inspired photoshoot. In the end, Marcela was eliminated for not making a good first impression with her personality and her photo. 12 girls remained who will be eliminated NOW !

Being in the bottom two was very frustrating for Annesya, she wants to stepped up her game plan by ...

...criticizing Melissa's body.

Melissa was very upset with Annesya who was clearly bringing her down so she can take over the competition.

"You can talk all you want about me, but I am here to represent myself and Atan choose me and there's nothing you can do about it", said Melissa.

Then, the next morning the girls were given a surprise visit by their runway coach...

 MR CARL !!!!

"Okay girls today you will be meeting someone special, it's Ms Amal and she is the agent for Yey Modelling Agency, the company where you'll be working at if any one of you win the competition".

Ms Amal basically wants to see the potential of the girls by judging not only their face and walk but also their personality which clearly most of them got except for Jacinta who remain unmentionable from the first episode till now...

Here's the rundown of their model potential courtesy of Ms Amal and Mr Carl

• Sheilla - Great look but need to be more presentable
• Annesya - Too Soccer Mom-ish
• Mimi - Beautiful face but need to work on her walk
• Melissa - Confident at first but when asked to do a little dance (Melissa is a dancer) she couldn't deliver.
• Patsy - Talk too fast
• Marly - A little bit shy
• Lora - Great walk but doesn't have the inner bombshell
• Jane - Great sense of humour 
• Tatang - Severed look but can speak well
• Julianne - Need to relax, can be stiff sometimes
• Sabatini - Need to fix her walk
• Jacinta - Who? (Need more charisma)

 At the end, Mr Carl revealed that someone will go home right after that. The girl that will go home is chosen because the agency doesn't see any potential in her during the interview

"Hopefully it won't be me," said Marly.
  
Before that, the girl were told that the interview is challenge/elimination. So the challenge winner who will win something is Mimi

Then it was revealed that the girl that will go home is...

"I was given a chance and unfortunately they didn't see model in me, I wish i have done a lot better," Jacinta tells us in her exit interview.

The remaining 11 girls who were still shock, were given another surprise which was...

ATAN MAIL !!!! (postman not included)

Jane read the mail which said,"Shake it for your root".

"Milkshake shoot!," one of the girl suggests. We'll never know what Atan is up to this time.

The next day the girl were brought to Cultural Village where they met Ms Wan, their photographer and a dance instructor.

"What you're going to do today girls?" exclaimed the always pretty Ms Wan whose face still remain a mystery.

"Dancing!!!!," they screamed.

The girs will take photo with a dancer, they have to dance as well as model for the Cultural Village brochure ad. Before that they have to do dance 101 with the coach.

Melissa who was also a dancer decided to not really get serious with the move because she thinks she's good already.

Tatang was struggling and clearly traditional dance is not her cup of tea. She ended spraining her ankle.

Julianne was having fun with the routine, as a model you have to be versatile she claimed.

Then the photoshoot started where they have to shoot with another dancer, which is a challenge cause sometimes these guys can outshine them... To Ms Wan surprise most of the girl do well except for Tatang due to her injury.

The judging began, Ms Amal was the guest judge...

The judges were very impressed with the girls work because most of them do very well except for some little flaw who can be neglected.

Mimi was praised for her eye contact while Julianne for her passion in her photo.

But it was Marly, Melissa and Tatang's photo who were voted the worst (tho it's still their best work so far)

Elimination

 

 

Julianne was called out first for, "I can see the passion in your eyes, face and body" claimed Ms Amal.

Bottom Two

Marly didn't give a 100% in her photo

While Melissa give a better picture, but she was sabotaging herself by not listening to instruction

Eliminated

 

Marly was given her photo and Melissa was send home. The judges thought that being a good model is to listen to what people taught.

" I can't believe I was eliminated beacuse of what I do best [dancing], clearly my photo is the best compare to the other girls but I'm not gonna stop," Melissa in her exit interview.

TRIVIA: In our biotech (2nd year) batch there's somebody who looks like Sid (Ice Age), who do you think he is?

a guy from biotech course had told me to put this in my blog because you know i have a segment which i put pictures of look-alikes, and he was like 'hey, you should put this in your blog'.

there's someone in our course (fyi, i'm a biotech 2nd year student) that look pretty much like Sid from Ice Age.

so here's a picture of the guy name Sid, see if you can find his identical human twins.

CLUE: both of them love to walk with their chest held high...

R.I.P. Stephen Gately

ok first of all i'm not a fan of mr gately, i prefer ronan's voice over him.

but stephen gately had opened the door of some people's closet, mark of westlife for example.

last year i recieved a gift from someone and it is actually stephen's album and i never played it - ever.

but now he's dead maybe his album worth more than what it used to be.

anyway, condolence to stephen's family, may his soul rest in peace...

by the way, stephen gately is the other guy who contribute his voice in boyzone, and boyzone is a boy band famous for singing the 'bean' soundtrack, and don't even tell me you don't know who mr. bean is...
